Dear members, students and friends of the profession,
It is a privilege to lead the Indian Institute of Materials Management as we step into our golden-jubilee year. From a modest beginning in 1976, IIMM has grown into a 100,000-strong national community of materials, purchase, logistics and supply chain professionals — one of the largest such bodies in the world.
Today, supply chains sit at the centre of India's growth story. The ambitions of Make-in-India, the PLI schemes, the National Logistics Policy, Gati Shakti and our rising exports all depend on procurement, logistics and inventory professionals who can think strategically, operate digitally and act ethically. That is exactly the kind of professional IIMM is built to produce.
